Vondie Curtis-Hall est un acteur-réalisateur américain né à Détroit (Michigan) le 30 septembre 1956. Comme acteur, on a pu l'aperçevoir dans des films comme Black Rain, 58 minutes pour vivre et Broken Arrow. À la télévision, il est remarqué dans la série Urgences où il jouait Roger, le beau-père du fils du docteur Benton (interprété par Eriq La Salle) qui se battaient la garde. Comme réalisateur, il a mis en scène Gridlock'd (1997) avec Tupac Shakur, Tim Roth et Thandie Newton et Glitter (2001), avec Mariah Carey. Cette seconde réalisation fut un flop. Un flop qui ne l'a pas empêché de continuer dans la réalisation. A noter que Vondie Curtis-Hall joue le rôle de D-Riper dans son film Gridlock'd

J'ai fais une petite recherche et je suis tombé sur çà! C'est donc un black!
je comprend donc, l'esprit tourné vers la funk tout le long du film. J'y ai meme entendu un titre du grand Luther vandross, à un certain moment.

Wow! C'est dire, la culture du monsieur! Si Mariah aurait synchronisée tout çà sur sa Bande-Son glitter au lieu d'en faire un album perso' de ses sons qu'à elle! Peut etre, qu'il n'aurait pas flopper finalement! Mauvais stratège!
Ils étaient vraiment mal soutenus à l'époque. Il y a beaucoup de potentiel, outre ce coté soul music/funk qui règne tout le long du film. Si seulement, il aurait viré tout ce kitsh au décor...
Par exemple, je trouve que la Mariah qui pose devant les briques comme un off the wall est vachement plus crédible!
